This is the beach in Toco, on the far northeastern corner, where we went before seeing the turtles. And where the car broke down. And where we were saved by the Maxi taxi driver. Yay! it has a very strong current that drags you down the beach, so when you float, you go from one end to the other. It also has all these shale rock formations, showing the pressure of the tectonic plates that run alon either side of Trinidad, which is how it broke off from the South American mainland. Very cool. Ouchy on the feet to walk on though. ( I climbed out to the rocks at the far end of the beach.)
